Physical therapy 💕 Breech baby 💕Transverse baby 💕 Psoas release

FAQs:
WHEN SHOULD I START DOING THIS TECHNIQUE?
From 34 weeks of pregnancy, or before if you have been told that you have tight psoas muscles by your physical therapist / chiropractor / osteopath.

WILL THE TECHNIQUE TURN THE BABY?
Nothing is guaranteed, but this is a gentle way of creating space to support the baby to turn. You have nothing to lose from trying it!

SHOULD I DO THIS EVERY DAY?

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO?
If you have access to a chiropractor or osteopath who specialises in pregnancy, and particularly the Webster Technique, please book an appointment. It's also important to be active and move around, rather than sitting too much (unless you have been told to have bed rest by your health practitioner).

Before you go for External Cephalic Version (ECV), the manual turning of your baby by an obstetrician, you can try this gentle technique using only cushions and time.

It is best to go through these exercises when you have 45 minutes free before a nap or going to bed. You won't regret it!

The contraindications for not doing these exercises are: Hypermobility or very loose joints; Ehlers-Danlo Syndrome; very severe back or pelvic pain. Basically, if it hurts, stop the exercise.

You may also like to visit an osteopath or chiropractor who specialises in pregnancy, and in particular the Webster Technique.

Please also see my other videos on the Side Lying Release and Forward Leaning Inversion, which may also help your baby have space to turn naturally.

Hi! I did this exercise on Wednesday night as my baby was breech. I was scheduled for an ECV on Friday. When I arrived, the doctor said I wasn't a good candidate for that procedure and a C-section was inevitable. However, when they did another ultrasound, my baby was head down! I'm 38 weeks for reference. Thank you so much!

I’m 35 weeks pregnant with twins and both babies are transverse. I’m going to try these stretches and forward leaning inversions and hope for the best. I’ll keep you all updated. These comments give me hope

Hi, I came to know in my 37 week that my baby turned from cephallic to breech position. I was recommended ECV procedure with 50/50 chance of moving back to cephallic. My ECV was confirmed and scheduled for the following week. In this one week daily at night I practiced your exercises for 45 mins (15 mins per exercise as you recommend) and I would sleep. One week later on the day of ECV the dr confirmed via Ultrasound the baby moved to cephalic again! Thank you so so much ❤❤

I did this exercise and it really works. My baby is now again in a cephalic presentation and score of 8/8 in our BPS ultrasound. From breech to cephalic to transverse to cephalic. Thank you for this video, it really helps me a lot.

32 weeks, Baby is either transverse or breech, told last appointment… Been doing handstands in the pool, forward leaning inversions, and now this. Hopefully he figures out he has to put his head down there in time! Tired of all the heartburn and reflux from him playing with my stomach 😅
Really hoping to have him naturally, like his 17 month old brother!

I am 36 weeks pregnant and found out today that my baby is transverse. I only held these position for 5 minutes each, but I’ll keep trying to extend that time as I continue working on them. I’m also planning on doing forward leaning inversions, breech tilt, and side lying release. I’ll try and let you know how it goes. Thanks! 💕

Currently 37 weeks and 4 days (with normal AFI). Baby has been in transverse position for the past 2 weeks and we're getting very worried as I plan to give birth naturally - vaginally (scared to do c-section). Have done quite a lot of walking and exercises, baby moves head down with the flashlight method but goes back to transverse when we turn off the light 😔 will try your exercises today and hopefully baby turns head down for good. 🙏
