Your guild leader is lucky to have you as a member. Great vid! While I was highly considering starting a 5800X3D build from scratch, considering my local Micro Center is throwing in DDR5 memory for free with a 7700X and $50 off a compatible motherboard, it seems silly not to take advantage of that offer.

Found your channel 3 days ago and at that time (which feels like years ago😅) I didn’t know SSD from HDD. 3 days later I feel like I’m confident enough to build my first PC. Started ordering the components. Thanks👍

I built this exact system 4 months ago after 2 months of research much of it from this channel. I went with the Ryzen 5800X3D, 32 gigs (4x 8GB) of Vengence Ram and the Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II board, and the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming OC 12G Graphics Card. (Note on my GPU card, At the time I purchased it was under $800 today it's $1380 on Amazon) I did use 1 SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe for the C Drive and a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 1TB NVMe M.2 in 2 TB for my secondary (This board has 2 M.2 slots slots "ONLY 1" is 4.0) and I set up x2 WD Black 2 TB HD in a Raid as my system backup. I added a few things not here but I paid about $2, 400 (with my bells and whistles) in total. I did buy everything from Amazon and used the $200 off option and got the Amazon Credit Card in the process. (Note: Paid it off already as I had cash). Issues: not mentioned, I had to buy a PCIe x1 to 19 Pin USB 3.0 Header for a second header because this board only has one. If you get this system buy one when you order it was $24 and you will thank me later. Also, there is a loss of 5&6 SATA ports when using the second PCI-E slot. (ROG dropped the ball here) The loss of 2 of the 6 played no issue at all in my build but is worth noting.

Great video, Jason! In the 4K world, I'm gonna do like Ambrosius. Relax and watch you guys doing all the work. I'm just started to use a 1440p monitor. 4K is a distant event on my horizon. 😉

5800x3d to me is like the 1080ti from back in the day. Hard to justify next gen.

Three years ago I got a cheap B450 with an R5 1600 with an idea of the 450 being able to use future CPUs. Soon in planning on getting the 5800x3d

This was my exact comparison and build options 2 weeks ago moving up from a 4790K - I was comparing the 5800X3D vs 13600K vs 7700X and landed on the 5800X3D as well. Thanks for the validation!!! Now just waiting on the GPU options to upgrade my GTX970 as well!

I already have a 5600x and it’s a beast but man if the 5800x3D goes below $300 it’ll be hard not to upgrade

My system is the 5800X3D with a 6700XT it just devours WoW at 1080p pining the needle at 140 FPS in all but the heaviest raiding situations. In all my games this setup just tears it up, the extra cache really smoothes out those little hitches at higher FPS.

After watching some of your videos I felt it was time to build my own pc and I'm so happy because this is almost the same build I've chosen! Looks like all the studying paid off! Thank you Jason for your thorough explanation and passion for this work!

5800X3D has been out of stock since the price dropped to 329. Newegg emailed me yesterday saying they were in stock. Within hours they were out of stock again. But I got my order in.
Black Friday may get them offered at 299. Maybe. Like your videos. Thanks

I built my new PC a few months back with 5800X3D, as faster in games than new AMD processors. Paired it with a 6900XT. So can't wait to see his suggestions.

I went to microcenter today and bought the 12700k/asus z690 tuf mobo combo for $350! Seems like a fantastic deal.

Great video and a very nice build, especially with Mr Bear playing supervisor. It feels like the 5800X3D might be "good enough for gaming" for a long while; there could be a lot of future GPUs matching perfectly well with AM4 platforms.

I have a 5800X and a ROG Strix 3080 12gb and I benchmarked 98 games at 4k native on max settings, no raytracing. 109fps average across all 98 games. High spec games run around 60fps on max settings.

I was building 3 machines for Christmas, to specs requested. The 5800x3d is extremely under rated. 5950x with a 3080 under a 24 hour test load started dropping fps. The 5800x3d with a 6800 never dropped. It still beat the 3rd with an intell build that was rated higher on user benchmark.

just installed this in my x470 gaming-f board. It reminds me of my 4790k from a few years back. Will punch above its weight class for years to come!

Love the build Jason! Please, a longer build montage next time! (5 mins or so). After building my PC last year, I am going to have to miss the fun for several more years so watching you is great! It's why I love channels like JayzTwoCents because you can see them mucking about getting the build together. Its soooo satistying when it does its first POST! Share that satisfaction please! :))))
