I feel like this will still be above my $5 budget

Its a relief that you can get good machines in the 1000$ range again, i was scared back in 2021 that PC gaming wouldn't be accessible anymore due to those blasted cryptominers.

I just checked on the power supply mentioned in the video. Instead of the $90 dollars, he listed. Amazon lists it for $169. I believe this is going to be well over the $1000 dollar mark with today's prices.

Still happy to this day you didn't retire. Reignited my interest in your channel lately and it reignited my love of PC gaming and I built 2 whole new systems and am having so much fun. Thanks Linus, you're amazing.

"It is such good energy building rigs people can actually afford"
That deff is the LTT quote of the month for me. Would love to see more $1000 pc builds!

I remember watching the "4K Gaming is Dumb" video when it came out a few years ago. Now it's actually viable on a $1000 machine! How time flies

Glad to see $1K gaming PCs are back. That's the beauty of PC gaming - from budget to premium one can always find something that suits themselves.

I recently put a pc together for a friend around this price range with very similar specs. He came from a HASWELL i5!!!! And a gtx 970. All with a 7200rpm Toshiba hard drive. I chose an nvme m.2 Samsung 980 500gb. Was a good price. I’ll never forget his reaction to the speed of that drive vs what he was used to. Nvme is lightning fast compared to even the recent standard 2.5 ssd.

Have a friend that's been wanting to build and seeing this pop into my feed makes me feel so happy that I can actually recommend a good 4K rig for around 1K. Crazy.

I love these affordable build videos! Please make one for newbies that show which 2-3 options we can go with. A video editor may want something different from a gamer or budding developer, so how do I know what good options are compatible and what I get with an extra $100 thrown at one piece over another? Thanks!

I'm building a PC for gaming this weekend (I already spent a lot of money), only waiting on the NVMe to arrive.
I've seen many websites at the internet to get a Windows 10 for a few bucks and wondered if they were honest and if it's working long-term.

I used this guide to build my first PC. It went incredibly smooth and I had no issues. My graphics card said it was used but the thing seriously looks brand new, I couldn't find single scratch or spec of dust. Thanks LTT!

Whenever Linus is handling hardware it feels like a thriller. I am constantly worried that he will drop stuff

I built my first pc in 2008, but for some reason I still enjoy watching videos like these, where Linus runs through the basics of pc building, specially now that gpu prices are going down.

9:35 the way she hits and shakes the GPU and whole build just makes my heart drop, ESPECIALY SINCE IT'S LINUS, THE DROPPING THINGS GUY. IT'S HIS WHOLE THING!

GPU prices have yet to change here for me, they still cost so much (and have been used for well over 9 months of constant mining, lowest one I found at least)

That power supply choice makes good sense. EVERY PC I've ever had at home / my business that has failed has been power supply related (except of course for some old, used HDDs that I was using...) Use a quality power supply if you want the thing to last! I am loyal to Seasonic because they have never let me down, but there are other quality PSU makers.

I have this case and it’s been absolutely wonderful. Definitely a fantastic budget choice for airflow as well as simple clean looks
