Great oil recipes but using the fresh ingredients in the bottles will introduce a source for botulism to grow, even in oil. Shelf life is generally 5-7 days unless you store in the fridge which extends the shelf life to 3-4 months. Completely dried herbs are much safer.

We grow our food organically so there's no problems with chemicals, but it's always wise to wash your garden food before consuming just to get any silt or bugs off.

Do the herbs need to remain in liquid? As you use the liquid, do you replace in order to keep herbs submerged?

Why do the vinegars only last around 4 months unrefrigerated? Wanted to make a selection of lavender infused vinegars as well as oils for marketing purposes and wanted alittle longer life on them. Any ideas?

can someone help me? I did this and (put rosemary, black and pink pepper) it was really flavored and delicious but in couple of days it was mold in the bottle. why?

somebody..please..i need help...i love infused oils...somebody please explaine to me:
why after i let my herbs just a few minutes into the simmering oil, when i put the oil into bottle he, s going to be not so clearly, like somekind of a mould or something like cloudy.
i use rapeseed oil but.i have tried to simmer my herbs for more time, i used dry herbs and is the same result :((
