I don't know why people don't take these storms seriously. They see time and time again how flooding can cause major damage. They will not go to a shelter. Write your name on your body with a permanent marker so you can be identified if you don't leave. 😮

This is horrible. I appreciate your new set-up to show the impact better. We need to rally around our people

Here's your reminder as Mr. Graham talks about the improved accuracy of forecasting: Project 2025 calls to break up NOAA, the parent org of the National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center.

Warmer world, warmer water, stronger storms. Ignoring the climate crisis for 30 years is now giving us so much grief!

Floridian always take hurricane lightly. Some even joke about running out of beers while riding it out. No wonder insurance companies left the state.

You think that 5+ days notice is not much notice? Seems like plenty of time to pack the things that you want to save into your car and get out of town... The police were going around the towns telling people over their loud speakers that if they are not going to follow the mandatory evacuation that they should write their personal info in permanent marker on their skin to help identify them... Why would anyone stay? It makes no sense to me.

Without due respect everybody knew it was a category 3 to a category 4 they should have evacuated and a lot of people would have been alive.. grab your cat your dog your belongings your medicine whatever and drive... the hurricane was going to hit they said it and they had at least a week to leave no excuse you can replace your home but you cannot replace your food for thought

You have to wait until the hurricane passes, but live power lines can fall in the water. Do 1st responders have any special equipment to handle live electricity wires while responding during rescues?
