I was really interested on hearing the reason Sunday christians keep the first day, but as soon as the second guy(don’t know his name) said we can’t just use the Bible… he lost me. The Bible is our instruction book and if you can’t defend Sunday worship solely from that book then you CANNOT defend it. Period 📍

I am married w/children, Raised Pentecostal Christian and about 20 years ago had a desire/longing to begin observing the Feast Days in Bible but did not know anyone doing it and more recently (this last year) the Holy Spirit has continued to reveal in the Bible about keeping the Sabbath. So this September I made it official (so far just me, husband and children are still doing sun) and although this world (especially here in CA) is set up to go completely against keeping the true sabbath, I am doing my best to learn how to honor my Jesus and spend time with Him on the sabbath.

It just so happens that today Friday 14th, 2023 is the day that I chose to begin keeping The Sabbath. I must add, that there were doubts in me on whether I should keep The Sabbath or not. But something inside of me kept telling me I should, because it’s part of the Ten Commandments. I kept thinking that if I’m breaking one I’m breaking all of them.
But just as soon as I was about to begin my Sabbath, I came across this debate which by the way; it’s the best debate I have witnessed. I truly congratulate these two teachers. They were both fantastic presenting their point of view on The Sabbath. I must say that this debate strengthened my belief of The Sabbath, and Pastor Jim put it in a clearer way for me. I honestly think that our LORD & SAVIOR JESUS wants us to keep all The Ten Commandments. Like Pastor Jim said, how can you not keep The Sabbath? By not keeping The Sabbath your abolishing the other commandments which means we can then murder or commit adultery without being convicted? These laws are the ones keeping us closer to GOD. I believe The Ten Commandments were given to all of us. How can I not keep The Sabbath when GOD himself made it a day of rest and also holy? I will most definitely try my best to serve THE LORD with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my strength. Keep it Holy, for HE is Holy.

A very good debate. I was a Pentecostal Christian for 20+ years and know how difficult it was to come out of tradition, which is the case for a majority of Christians. Only through Bible study and Holy Spirit guidance does one truly understand and keep the Sabbath. Part of the Three Angels message in Revelation is a warning to God’s professed people to come out of Babylon (confusion and false system of worship).

Anytime someone says not to use scripture alone to determined something, that is a red flag, the Bible is the only authority we should use.

I don't imagine not keeping the Sabbath will keep anyone from salvation, but I can guarantee you that keeping the Sabbath day holy would be beneficial to anyone who does it. And that goes without question.

There's a reason why the fourth commandment says *REMEMBER* the Sabbath. Because people have forgotten that the 7th day of the week is Saturday. Through reading the scriptures, it's also important to bear in mind we don't keep the Sabbath for righteousness, we aren't under the law but grace. However that doesn't mean we don't follow the commandments, but rather our reasons for following the commandments have changed. How many times do the scriptures read "if you love me, follow my commands?" So for me, I keep the Sabbath because I love God and that is the way I show it.
