How do you fit your hands inside your mouth holding the floss that way?!

I try to floss as much as I can but it is always painful and I realize from watching this video that I've been flossing entirely wrong. Lots of dentist will encourage you to floss but not tell or show you exactly what you're supposed to be doing. I had been flossing inside of my gums instead of just between my teeth, no wonder I always bled and my mouth was always soar. I'll definitely floss more after watching this.

I’m 20 and just started flossing and didn’t start brushing my mouth regularly, and correctly until I was 15ish (I know, crazy). Broke a tooth at the beginning of this year, went to the dentist to get a root canal and my dentist said I had perfect teeth, no cavities, and my only issue was grinding. Insanely lucky.

I honestly felt dumb having to YouTube this. First time flossing in a very long time. Gums very irritated and blood. A week later yellow build up around teeth somewhat gone no irritation on gums and no blood. Think my dentist will be proud. I actually look forward to flossing now.

My parents never taught me how to floss and it always hurt when I tried it. I feel ashamed to be learning this only as an adult.

The tongue also holds a lot of bad bacteria, if you don't clean it regularly. Just brush it while you at it, its easy and keeps your mouth and breath fresh.

I started flossing about a week ago and wanted to know how to do it right. The first try was a bloody and disgusting mess 🤗🌺 the floss smelled like death and i couldn't believe how much gunk i still had sticking between my teeth even after brushing carefully. To be honest, i am slightly disgusted by myself that i just didn't do it before... The second time was already completely blood free, no pain and the floss didn't smell bad at all. My breath was instantly better too. I accept it now, flossing is great and i'll keep doing it.

Aha, I’m watching this and when my dentist was flossing my teeth. She basically shoved it in and started going at it like she was sawing at my gums.

How do you reach the back teeth without feeling like your lips are about to tear apart?

I snap the floss down and hit my papilla then question why my gums bleed 🙄😂. Nice to know!

I'm 21 and I think I've been flossing wrong all my life. I usually go down all the way on the sides of the teeth, next to the papilla. :(

I'm 32. I just started flossing over a year ago. I floss every single night. I noticed I rarely have bad breath. I already have a very good pral hygiene, but flossing took it to the next level.

Start flossing people !!!
