Dr Chhaya Chauhan (GDC: 83940) explains how you should floss (clean in between) teeth.

Step 1: Pull out and cut off the reel of floss about 18 inches (45cm)

Step 2: Wrap the ends around your two index fingers, and stretch it between them, so it is fairly taught, leaving about 6 inches between the two fingers.

Step 3: Gently position the floss in between teeth, flex the floss slightly so it cups around the edge of one tooth in an C like shape. Move the floss up and down to get rid of plaque. Repeat this for the tooth on the other side of that same gap.

Step 4: Repeat this for the tooth on the other side of that same gap.

Step 5: Repeat this process for all teeth and gaps in the mouth.

Step 6: Dispose of the floss.

This should be taught in Kindergarten and Grade/Elementary schools because many parents don't even know how to brush and floss their own teeth much more to teach their children!

👄I challenge everyone out there to try flossing your teeth for 30 days. You can do anything for 30 days and I can tell you how much more confident you will be that your breath is not offensive and how it will prevent all kinds of other dental problems. - Dr. Lisa Germain (sending full support) 🦷🦷🦷

This video was extremely helpful. I hate flossing but after my dentist appointment today she definitely recommended me to do it more often but the proper way. I was so use to using the wax ones with the handle but she preferred the string floss which I hate.

I hate my younger self so damn much.
I was fat.
Lazy.
Unhygienic.
And my teeth were no exception.
Now however-
I’m fit - well toned even.
Maintain a very healthy diet.
Workout and train regularly.
Extremely active.
I’ve literally turned everything about myself around.
However... I cannot escape my teeth.
I was able to repair and solve the major issues through a ton of fillings and two extractions but damn, it’s just disappointing to keep the reminder of my old self.

Also after the extraction, I’m not sure if I was meant to have additional aid however the teeth in front of the ones that were extracted almost immediately came backwards and ruined my smile and bite.
Was I meant to have support for this like braces or Invisalign?

Either way, I can’t stress this enough for younger teens- take damn good care of your teeth!
Everything else can be reversed with hard work- but teeth? Nope!
It’s expensive as hell and "fixing" them can even create more problems than what you began with.
Take. Care. Of. Your. Teeth.
Please.

Great video, Doc! KRISS emphasized that regular flossing is crucial for good oral hygiene. Now I'm flossing daily using a water flosser.😀

Most of asian household don't have a dental floss and didn't even know what flossing is..we only use toothpick when something stuck between our teeth and regular toothbrush to clean our mouth...Lately I kind of take notice about my oral hygiene, might try flossing soon..hope it's not that chaotic for first timer lol..
