Never heard it explained so well but I have a steep sternum and it took me years, literally, to stop listening to people and go for a higher incline. I feel a 40 works well for me

I went straight into my gym just now, put my bench at a 45° angle and realized that I have never felt my upper chest activate the way I just felt it. I think I love you

If you really got a lacking upper chest and want to bias it even more, just do front raises, the upper pec is a great shoulder flexor and actually has greater leverage up until around 90 degrees of shoulder flexion

Thanks for the post Mr Jeremy I am 6'6 and have a well build pyhique body my chest size is 52 inches, 16 inches biceps and everything is huge except my skinny legs. I love spending 2-3 hours in the gym and doing 100 push-ups, sit-ups 6 times a week. I admire Dwayne Johnson body since in my teenage years. Medical student Malaysia 👍🙏

Nice. I have a steep sternum like glasses man, and now I have a direct answer for why I've never really experienced doms in my upper chest before. I wasn't putting my bench at enough of an incline, so that area has unintentionally never really been pushed that well before. Wish I had learned this sooner. Better late than never. Thanks for the info, good sir! ✌

oh my god, nobody told me this, not even my trainer. ive got declined sternum. now i understand, even after 3 years, why there isnt any significant growth in my upper chest
