There's lots of opinions and lots of scripture on this topic. But please comment on the scriptures provided. If Jesus says He returns when the sun and moon are darkened and scripture says this happens after the 6th seal - Does Jesus come back then or not?

A lot of people don't understand what tribulation is and what God's judgment is.

Christians ARE going to go through tribulation. That is persecution from the Anti-christ's. People who hate Christians. Once the 6th seal is broken all we have to do is look up.

Then God's judgment on the world will happen. Those who are unsaved

Here is simplicity...

1) The resurrection/rapture happens **AT** Jesus’ appearing (Hebrews 9:28, 2 Timothy 4:8, 1 John 3:2, Colossians 3:4)

2) The glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ (our blessed hope) happens **AT** his COMING (1 John 2:28, Titus 2:13).

3) The COMING of our Lord happens **AFTER** the tribulation (Matthew 24:29-31).

Plain and simple from the Word of God.

You are spot on. My prayer is for every pre-trib believer to see this truth. The first time I read Matthew 24:29-31 without the pre-trib glasses on, I couldn't believe the rapture was right there all along. I was a little upset that a man made doctrine explained away so many things. Praise God now I can get ready for the truth.

Yet, you skim many other verses indicating the contrary. In general Jesus is emphatic to His followers that they should not be caught off guard or asleep. That He will come like a thief in the night. Paul teaches that that day shall not come until the time of great apostasy and the man of sin is revealed and implies, strangely, in the context of the teaching that it will come like a sudden destruction upon them at a time when they say peace and security. Yet by the time the 6th seal is broken, no one will be saying peace and security, rather they will be cursing God to His face for ruining the party of 'self'.

A better comparison is John 14:1-3 with 1 Thess 4:13-18. Then you see the necessity and reality of the Pre Trib Rapture.

Matthew 24:29 is speaking of the 2nd coming of Christ after the 7 years of tribulation.

The rapture and the second coming of Jesus are two separate events. The rapture has Jesus meeting his church in the clouds and taking her to the marriage supper of the lamb, He does not come to the earth at that time. When Jesus does come at the end of the tribulation the church comes with him. Two different events. The rapture is not a secret event, the time of it is.

You’re mixing up rapture and second coming. He COMES after tribulation. Rapture, tribulation, second coming.

I always wonder how it will be in the days where the church has not been raptured and everyone is here for the great tribulation. What are the pastors going to say? What will the pastors do? Everyone who believes in the pre trib rapture, please take everything you have ever learned and put it aside. Truthfully put it aside. Pray and ask God to show you his truth, than open your Bible and study. Seek and ye shall find.
I was once a pre trib believer. I think most people were who now believe in the pre wrath rapture.

The returning you are talking about, also includes the church returning with him.
From chapter 4 -19 there is no mention of the church until Jesus returns. However, i don’t think it matters. If we are raptured our before, mid or post, we should be reaching people with the gospel.

You can differ in eschatology and still have a solid gospel message

But truthfully, almost all churches on earth, although saved, look more like the church in laodecia . We should be prepared to watch what we have built burn up at the judgment seat of Christ. Saved doesn’t mean we won’t suffer loss. Some of us will get to heaven and simply enter, where others will hear “well done”. We need to get out of our own way and reach the lost at all cost

The scripture you quote is taken out of context. Jesus is speaking to Israel, not the church.
