Fantastic message Jon, I think a lot of self hate comes from this punishment that people direct at themselves. And we get stuck in this cycle often for years repeating the same mistakes and hating ourselves for them without going through developing the actual processes to discipline oneself so that mistake can be avoided. I for one sure needed to hear this. Really digging the new graphic design on the thumbnails btw. It gets me to click on your videos every time.

Punishment, karma...whatever one wants to call it does exist. Repentance and amends must be made in those situations.

In one of Jocko Willinks more recent videos he seems to be echoing a very similar idea...you are both the general giving out the orders to yourself and the soldier who executes the orders. Funny how the micro scale seems to echo the macro scale... I will try my best to be a more loving parent to myself, because it is so tempting for me to be harsh with myself when it still feels like I am so far away from my goals...

I think punishment helps if there was a victim involved. A victim would never have closure if the person that put their eye out still got to walk around with two eyes.

Somehow it’s comentario it’s so elusive to sleeperself so it pushes its making an innocent is ready to elige, for all those of us who the issue is repramented it’s also hardly nknown it’s also hard to make anyone hear your memory aspects.
