I was afraid you were going to say that they had been shot down or something horrible. I’m glad you didn’t. I’m sure you would say the same about rescuing people or saving them. “That you’re just doing your job and would do it for anyone”. Thank you all that have made sacrifices for other’s safety and freedom. 🇺🇸

160th are the definition of true professionals. Those aviators move through chaos like its a Tuesday.

160th are legendary dudes. Insanely talented and ballsy pilots.

I had the opportunity to go to the 160th.
I was kind of a punk but i was very good at my job. My 1st Sargent asked me about accelerating my career and if i wanted to stay or move around.
I said id do anything the army asked.
He started a packet for the 160th. I started going through the selection for support mos soldiers.
They asked me to reenlist 6 years first.
My wife said them or her. And i ultimately chose her.
Im very lucky to have had the chance to meet those heroic people. Brave and disciplined.
I have regrets. I think she would have stayed but i already missed most of my first 2 children's lives.

Soldiers are just trying to do their job and save their friends. Some do it better than others.

The 160th guys are amazing, I had a couple pilots I knew that were in it, seriously some of the most quiet operators on the planet.

THIS right here. Giving your absolute ALL for the guy on the right or left of you - especially when their lives depend on it. This is what I miss about the military.

My uncle flew Hueys in Vietnam. He heard on the radio a medevac chopper couldn't land because of enemy fire and it pissed my uncle off so much, he flew the Huey without any other crew, parked in the direct line of fire to allow the medevac to get the wounded troops and still managed to take off and land safely. He never told me about it; I found out from my aunt after he passed away.

Those pilots had a tool to do a job with, and they were going to get the job done or break it, that is professional determination at its finest!

My senior drill sergeant in basic was a nightstalker and I can without a doubt tell you that he was the greatest man I met during my time in the Army. That guy cared about trainees and their success in a way no other did. He went out of his way to help us be better for US. I will always be grateful for my time with drill sergeant Reyes. Charlie 1-22 Fort Sill 🙌🏼

Those guys from the 160th have huge balls made of the finest, highest Rockwell hardness American Alloy Steel known to man! It's surprising that those birds can even get off the ground with the crew on board! 😂Seriously though, they have my utmost Respect. True Professionals.

This guy has graciousness, and humility, his deep appreciation for the brave pilots who put there own lives at risk by landing to save him, this is what makes him such a bad ass his deep understanding of battlefield and war fighting risk overwhelms him because he knows these pilots aren’t fighters like him, they don’t have the training like him but they came anyway to help, and they saved his life, that is a real soldier, fearless but full of grace and honour for his brothers in arms

PEDRO saved me in Panjwai Afghanistan Aug 26 2011 at like 4pm. I vividly remember then saving my life. Minigun and 50 were QUAKING! It was unreal.
If any of you guys that were on that chopper see this, I will never be able to repay you.
Terry Thomas 1-25 3-21 infantry.
You picked us up at Sperwan-Ghar and took us to KAF.
