He’s not putting Rangers on blast. He’s putting NON rangers on blast. He’s defending actual rangers, who feel the same way.

Going to Ranger school makes you Ranger qualified. Serving in the 75th Ranger Regiment makes you a Ranger.

David Goggins always says “I completed ranger school”. He never says he was a ranger

If they weren't in the 75th Ranger Regiment, they weren't Rangers.

He's right though. Being tabbed doesn't mean you're a ranger. That scroll says you're a ranger. You can be a ranger and not have gone to ranger school. Had a guy in my unit who was scrolled, spent the first 6 years of his career in ranger batt (2/75) but never went to ranger school. He was a ranger. We had plenty of guys in our battalion who had the tab that just means you completed the school. He voluntarily left for his family. Great soldier.

He’s not putting army rangers on blast, he’s putting dudes in the regular army with ranger tabs on blast.

Spent my first few years in the Army in regiment. Didn’t get my tab, got RFS’d, flash forward now I’m a drill sergeant. The trainees ask constantly about my scroll, but they ask “How difficult was ranger school?”. One cycle, I explained the difference between RASP and Ranger school, got confused looks, so I wrote on the whiteboard “Ranger School: tab—leadership school” “Ranger Regiment: scroll—Army’s favorite murder weapon” and they all went “ohhh I get it now” 😂

I think it's hilarious how the title of this video is exactly what dude is talking about. He's not putting RANGERS on blast. He's talking about Ranger School graduates.

100% correct, I served in 1/75th (84-85) and we performed many of the tasks that are tested in Ranger School almost everyday. Just because you got a tab, doesn’t mean that you would survive in a Ranger Battalion, especially in today’s double standard world.

He explained it perfectly!
RLTW.! 2/75.

He's not blasting Rangers. He's blasting pretenders. Even many people in the military get this confused because they don't know the difference between the Scroll and the Tab. A buddy of mine who was in the Army explained it so that even my slow Air Force brain could comprehend: Attending and passing Army Airborne school qualifies you to wear jump wings but it doesn't make you a member of the 82nd Airborne. Similarly attending Ranger school qualifies you to wear the Ranger tab but it does NOT mean that you were in the 75th.

Just like Tim Kennedy say's "I am a Ranger Qualified" Green Beret. Tim Kennedy knows what he is and what he isn't.

Being Ranger qualified and being a Ranger are definitely two different things.

Hence the motto-like question, "Tab or scroll?"

Speaking truth. A Tab just shows you graduated a difficult school, a scroll shows you live the Ranger life, a tab with the scroll is what all Batt guys want and I have some Ranger buddies that never got their tab, but Ranger still runs in their blood today. My Ranger tab really is not part of my life any longer, but my Ranger buddies are still just as strong as the day I left Battalion. 3/75 Rangers Lead the Way!

There’s a big difference between knowing the skills and living the lifestyle.

Thats the literal difference. A ranger is someone thats served in the regiment. I didnt have a tab when i was in the 75th at first. Having a ranger tab makes you ranger qualified.

Don't they say "The tab is the school, the scroll is a way of life". Even the media will call someone a ranger without verifying if they served in a ranger battalion.
