I really, really, REALLY appreciate how you've kept an unbiased view. You stuck to the basic facts to let the viewer make the decision for themselves. FL Studio and Reaper aren't seen as "professional" daws as compared to Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton, and Cubase. I tend to make more electronic rock music, so I started out with FL Studio. I'm comfortable with it, I know mostly how to do things in it, however a lot of times I've felt it has held me back creatively. I've done my research and am going to give Presonus Studio One a try. I've seen great things on it, especially for producers like myself. I'll probably end up using both. I also have used Reaper. I love what they do with it, but as a daw it just simply isn't for me. It makes a completely unmatched audio editor though, it's very very responsive and snappy which is what you want in audio editing. So if you produce samples, Reaper would be perfect for mixing them than anything else out there in my opinion.

Started on a Logic trial

Then I tried Ableton...fell in love with its UI...plopped down for the whole Ableton Live 11 Suite. Its workflow is the closest to how I think about music in my head.

This is a great video! I hust switched from FL to Reaper as I'm more focused on recording, and what a great idea that was. Definitely recommend at least trying it out.

I started in garageband, then upgrade it to logic pro x which is so versatille, recently switched to fl studio for production and harrison mixbus for mixing/mastering which works pretty good for me, I make synthwave/retrowave like music, but in spanish

I love your approach. Get the one that feels right to you and learn it inside out. I've tried various ones over the years often different from the studios I recorded at because I'm a PC user and all studios are Mac users. Pro tools a pain in the a** and not use friendly at all. Cubase is a powerful software but although user friendliness is better, still not great. I have studio one and cakewalk and both are very intuitive and user friendly. Not I'm done hopping. Need to focus on one as you said.

studio one for me, I was an avid user of cubase for many many years, but studio one since the first version and it just keeps getting better and better and now they have added vst support in the artist version i dont think it can be beaten .

Cubase / Nuendo are one of the best DAW I been using for well over 20 yrs. Even in audio recording school we used PT but of the teachers put us onto Nuendo and I didn't look back...both of these DAws are truly a beast with Recording but as of late been having issues using older plugins 🤓🙆‍♂️🤔q ALSO Reason can be plugged right into Cubase or Nuendo and use it with the DAW.
