Tip for FL: when you go to arrange, if you right click a pattern in the list on the left, you can split by channel. this makes separate patterns for each sound/instrument/sample you used so you can arrange easily and not have to do make unique and turn things off etc!

Here is an Fl tip that all Fl studio gang use: make the entire beat in one pattern, when u done, right click on the pattern, scroll down and select split by channels. Then all instrumentals will be put in each separate patterns.

I like Ableton, but FLs drums sequencer looks nice! it seems like it would be easier to create trap and Drill drum patterns in it. I just don't make drill or trap often.

Every DAW has a learning curve. It literally doesn't matter which one you use as long as you're enjoying yourself.

Used FL for more than 20 years. Started out with hip hop. Now I do EDM. I got mac m1 just to learn logic and garage band for fun. Logic is great for making pop music and rock. But I don't do those genres. FL can make bangers. Martin Garrix and Avicii both use FL. Any DAW can make bangers it's really the artist who paints the cavass. FL Patcher is pretty insane.

Studio one and cubase criminally underated

I went from Cubase to Reason in 2003. Haven't looked back since. Waiting for VST3 support. I rarely use samples rather make beats from scratch. More enjoyable.

I love how each of these DAWS has similar features in a different format.
Personally, I use Ableton and I love it! The automation, the simpler, the possibilities in this DAW, well all these DAWS in general, always gets me!

It made me so happy to see you use my favorite DAW, thanks for the great video

Out of all the DAW that there are, fl is my main, and my favorite. But if I was t an fl user, I’d use logic, or serato

ableton gives you the most creative freedom. its unmatched with the ability to use max for live and to make your own devices, as well as automate and attach any parameters with lfos and macros. its a amazing. i started out in logic and ever since i came to ableton my sound has completely changed

I was a logic user but after getting a writers block, decided to use Ableton for fun. Have to say, ableton’s work flow is cleannn and way easier to automate tracks compared to logic. You really get to be creative with this one. Big down side is if you’re a person like me who doesn’t have a collection of vsts, it’s gonna suck a lil. Never realised how good logic’s stock sounds were. Still, because of the work flow, I’m team Ableton! I still do miss logic’s sounds hehehe. Any workarounds to bounce logic sounds? XD

I’ve used Pro Tools, Ableton, Logic, and FL. I’m studying music in school and I promise you every time someone brags about one DAW being better it’s literally just because they happen to use it. Every single one can do the same thing just in different ways.

Ableton is the perfect example of “don’t judge a book by its cover”

I started producing with FL Studio, so when I first saw people making drums on DAWs like abelton and logic it was unbelievable to me 😂 THERE SHOULD BE A CHANNEL RACK FOR DRUMS

I’m on Studio One and I feel it’s one of the best overall. Very fast workflow the only flaw it has is the number of vsts that comes with it. You will have to get others

No reaper? bro you tried like 4 daws lol

Reaper for workflow, productivity and stability, and Pyramix for ultimate mastering and acquisition quality. I’ve used Logic since it was released as a sequencer during the OpCod days, and ProTools since it was Sound Designer and Sound Tools. They sre both great tools, and we have them in our studios, but Reaper and Pyramix with Merging hardware are next level tools.

Nobody mentionend Reaper as far as i have scrolled down. Not your usual DAW though, as it comes without any VST instruments and just a few built in effects, but it's super customizable to fit your needs. It's definately worth a try, so go and check it out!

moved from FL to Ableton recently and haven't looked back since, everything feels intuitive and the workflow is like what you think music production should be like. But if i was someone purely focused on beatmaking and not worry about making full fledged tracks/remixes, i think FL is a little better since you can program a beat very quickly.

You can make all the drums in one pattern (FL Studio), and then right click the pattern and press spilt by channel.
