Biggest difference between intel and AMD is that intel is running off a dead socket. If you want to make upgrades to intel chips down the line, you’ll end up needing a new motherboard, unlike with AMD whose AM5 lineup will stay supported for at least another 2 years

I'd say unless you REALLY need those cores for producticity tasks, go for AMD as they have a better upgrade path since the AM5 socket will still be around until like 2025 or even later than that. The newest Intel CPUs are at their end as 14th gen is the last gen that supports their socket. If you upgrade inthe future you will need to get a new motherboard whiel you could keep your AM5 motherboard when upgrading your Ryzen 7000 CPU.

Intel wants you to believe that they have more cores when they don’t. AMD is the real deal when it comes to core count. Don’t be misled by the ecores.
Why would there be only 32 threads when intel has 24 cores? AMD has 16 cores and 32 threads. That alone tells you how deceptive intel is.

AMD does have a better upgrade path though. 14th gen is the last of thr LGA 1700 socket and AMD literally just introduced their AM5 socket with 7000 series which will probably stay until like 2029 if it lasts as long as AM4

Until intel released their new socket, the only logical answer is AMD. They are so close in performance that its just a tossup what program will run better for what cpu so neither is better than the other right now. Amd still has atleast 3 years of AM5 and thats huge

Yes there is a lot that sets them apart, price. AMD just kicks ass, FPS per dollar is insane both in their CPU's and in their GPU's. Another thing you missed is mother board compatibility, which Intel is known to have little over time where as AMD still has support for older motherboards which is crazy.

the problem with intel is the instability issues which they said they fixed (they didn't) only affects 3 newest gens of their CPUs, intel use more power and have a shorter life span, intel are more expensive, even people who work in the company don't recommend you buy their CPUs. AMD's are just the clear way to go well unless you can afford to constantly replace your intel CPU every year and you have the proper cooling so it doesn't overheat. Also AMD has AM5 socket which should last a few generations where as for intel you have to get a new motherboard every generation for intel.
