Love it, best timing for this video.
Not seen you in a while!

Every month or so you re-engage my interest with one of these things :) Great work again.

Thank you, but could you also do a video with both systems with souped up RAM, because that's how most users will be running it. Thank you.

Enjoyed! I have the ProArt motherboard for my 7950X CPU and a mid-tear video card. I am a DR user. I will wait for the next gen to upgrade my video card. The 10G connection to my NAS is a crucial feature.

I love your videos, it was very helpful this year as I had a new system put together and went with the 13700K and 64gb Ram and a RTX 4070 and the system is ridiculously fast and doesn't miss a beat whatever is thrown at it. I decided to spend a bit more and added a second screen and it;s amazing how much time I save now in my editing.

I plan on doing an I9 12900k setup. It will be a slow build and a dedicated gpu will be last. I am currently using the an I9 9900k with a RTX 3060 for Sony Vegas. It does quite well as I use it for both gaming and editing.

Great video! Glad you labeled it specifically for video editing. If I’m not mistaken, that mobo has a noise canceling feature. It would be interesting to see a video comparing its noise canceling vs nvidia or AMDs.

Adding After Effects can make this video complete! But thanks for this one! 💯

I'm using Davinci Resolve, went from 5900X to 7600 because I went with DR Studio so work is done through GPU. A friend informed me that Intel with iGPU actually works better in Davinci Resolve for scrubbing through DR timeline (I'm doing 4K reso).

Current I'm not facing any lag or lack, just wondering if it's worth me spending a good load of money just for a new board, go with Core i3-12100 (the only one I have with iGPU, not using CPU cores much).

Would appreciate if could get some opinion from you. TIA.

Another great video. Man, these must be a lot of work! I have a high end PC with the 13900K and a 4090. It does very well in Resolve. Especially when adding Noise Reduction or certain effects. However, when it comes to smooth Timeline performance and overall fluidity in editing, I gravitate to my M1 Ultra Studio. It just slices through all footage better. It’s a better editing experience. Especially with 10 bit 4.2.2. Footage. The Intel does do a good job with that footage, but the M1 is simply faster and smoother with it.

Please do test with real world footage(4k, 6k, long gop, A intra etc), and compare that with benchmark scores

It would have been perhaps better to test with 4 sticks and the speeds where that is stable at. A highend system would often like to have more memory.

was looking at buying an intel i7 12700kf, I'm assuming it falls in-between the i7 13700k and Ryzen 9 7950x ? maybe a little lower than the Ryzen ? was just curious with your opinion on it. looking to use it for premiere pro

Thanks for the video. It would have been great if you could have thrown in the details for power consumption and heat management for those CPU's and show the stats. Thanks like your content.

⚠️ How well these systems run adobe premiere pro and adobe after effects at the same time using complex projects, transferring media one from another ? Did you made this test ? Does anybody knows ? I intend to do an upgrade on my machine to another editing one, but I'm still deciding about amd Ryzen 7950x and Intel 13900k for both intense adobe premiere pro and after effects. Thanks. 🎉🎉❤

What would be the best gpu/cpu combo for Ableton and Davinci for a 1k pc?

Love the video man! Ryzen 7000 and intel 13th are absolutely amazing. I can definitely back that intel hits higher numbers for performance in most scenarios compared to 7000. Only reason i went with ryzen though is mainly the power draw. Intel cpus suck down quite a bit more than the ryzen and since the performance is fairly small and probably not noticable in every day task, i went with 7950x back in December and dont regret it one bit.

Can this comparison be applied to laptops with the same results? How do these perform with after effects, photoshop, illustrator & 3D applications? As a general rule, can a gaming setup give the same results for video & graphic design or do the parameters change?
