Excel: IF Function MULTIPLE CRITERIA | IF ELSE Function | Nested IF Function

Показать описание

This video demonstrates how to write a nested IF statement or IF ELSE function. A nested IF statement is useful if you want to return one of three results (or more).
The video also looks at the nested IF alternative which is the IFS function. The IFS function does not require any nesting and is probably the way to go in more recent incarnations of Excel.

This video will be useful to you if you are asking the following questions:

How do you write an if statement with 3 conditions or more?
What is a nested IF function?
How do I use the IFS function in Excel?
What is the alternative to the IFS function in Excel?
How do I write an if else function?

Thanks for the upload. Your explanation was very helpful in allowing me to understand the process and make my own formula work

Hi Chester. This video is fabulous, really helpful, thank you. But in the second half, when you are using the TODAY feature (yet anther feature I had never come across!) why are there empty brackets facing both ways after the word TODAY? They seem pointless but does an empty set of brackets have a special meaning within Excel?

Hi Tugwell, Can you please explain how to use formula if there are multiple options in a cell, Like- Blue, Red in cell A2. Is it possible to make it reflect in B2 as Purple, Green with the formula.
