edit: i made this comment a long time ago but from what i know if you have a pc and you restart it while its in an update it can mess up with the windows files or something like that but i heard it from zachstechstuff (hes been working with building pcs and stuff like that for the past 10 years or something like that)

While this is a valid solution there is a chance your core windows files will not be correctly updated, which will cause really bad issues

I have a custom built PC with an i7, 32gb of ram, 2 M.2 SSD's and another SSD, so its usually very fast at doing anything. Well, I rarely use it / turn it on any more. I just did for the first time in at least a month. Downloaded updates, clicked update and restart. Got stuck on this menu for at least 25-35 minutes. Just as i was about to say fuck it, and power it off, it changed screens, restarted, and is now back on. I'm surprised it took that long.

Hey just want to tell you this but please dont do this every time you see that windows getting ready just wait because it will restore some of your data because its updating if you do hold power button and restart it will destroy you hdd bro just wait for 30 to 1 hr if it is good for you some updates took too long
