As a One Tree Hill Fangirl it kills me that the actresses had to work in such a toxic environment. Brooke was one of my favorite characters, so I love Sophia. Also, I wonder which actress she's referring too. Hmmm, someone investigate this.

For Sophia to describe it as "it was the best of times and the worst of times" is such a powerful statement and sums up her feelings perfectly and shows just how beautiful yet brutal their environment would be at times. My heart absolutely aches for these women, who I grew up idolising when I was younger. I watched OTH because of them and their stories and the way each actress portrayed their character captivated me to the core. From Peyton's layered and complex family past her guarded heart and portraying her emotions through music and art to Brooke's fun loving yet compassionate side and being the groups central rock in times of crisis and to Haley's ability to wade through the complexities of life as well as being open and accepting of others and being willing to see past their past mistakes. All together they were the living embodiment of sisterhood and friendship and proved no matter what life threw their way if they stuck by one another they would survive it together.

It absolutely sickens me now knowing the truth behind why Hilarie left when she did in Season 6. And it was all because of this guys actions that drove her away from the job and the character she held so dear to her heart. I was always somewhat confused as to why she decided to leave. Sure, actors leave jobs all the time to peruse other job offers but something just didn't sit too right with me, especially after seeing her goodbye video years ago. I knew something was up then but of course I had no idea what the real reason was.

I and others missed Hilarie (and Chad) and Peyton so much, but i'm glad she left while she could. What she and the other female members went through was truly devastating to hear and absolutely should not have happened they should've been protected and they weren't. But the women took action and as a fans, we all stood together with them. Mark Schwahn is not One Tree Hill. Hilarie is, Sophia is, Joy is, Danneel is, Kate is, and so many more members of the cast. Joy and Sophia stayed 9 years, despite what was happening, to give us what truly is a memorable and outstanding show. And I seriously commend and give my gratitude to Hilarie in having the strength and determination to hang on for the 6 years that she did with the show. She owed him, the show or us absolutely nothing she did it purely for the love of Peyton and her ever evolving story of love, loss, friendship and triumph and that in itself should never be and will never be tarnished by anything or anyone. One Tree Hill will never be seen the same way for awhile, maybe not ever again, but that doesn't mean I or we don't love the cast and crew equally. Those who fought and stood by the women of the show and for the women themselves who created a show that will be remembered as one of the greatest. To quote P. Sawyer herself, "Every song ends, is that any reason not to enjoy the music?"

She didn’t just play Brooke, she IS Brooke through and through! She’s so amazing for standing up against Mark and smacking him - that would have been any woman’s reaction. The part where she says “first of all…” and “second of all” and goes into the whole thing just reminded me so much of Brooke that I realised that that was why I loved her character so much - she’s so strong and brilliant and relatable and stands up against assholes because that’s who she is! 👏🏼🙌🏼

This is disgusting. This is my favorite show ever and it has in fact saved my life. I can't watch it now in the same light wondering which day of filming they felt uncomfortable and which days they were happy. I also can't believe none of the men stood up for these women....the other actors...the ones who played husbands and loving boyfriends to these girls. So sad.

She has a point the women affected couldn't just "leave" hundreds of jobs and careers are at stake and why should they just because of HIM, I get it.
Its just crazy how one person can affect so many people because he's the boss, if the get him fired there is no show.
In one sense they were 'lucky' it was a quote on quote "open secret" the women even said the men made a point of standing in between the girls so he couldn't touch them, it's good they all stuck up for each other.
And as far as I know Mark was working alone with being a pervert
