An ex delta operator said it best
"Delta doesn’t take the best guy. They take the right guy"

I have a friend who was a Green Beret colonel. He had a very successful career, multiple tours leading men in combat (Bronze Star winner), and is one of the baddest mothaf*ckers I know. He told me he tried out for Delta. He couldn’t finish the tryout.

The Green Beret level is pretty high for ANY situation ( trained with them) they do cqb daily for hours. The Delta level is literally unimaginable.

Jamey Caldwell discussed the speed at which the team flowed. Said the same stuff. He had been going through OTC and was moving at what he thought was insanely fast speed. But when he got to his first team they said stand back and watch… He said they were at a full sprint going through the kill house.

CAG, hands down scariest group of guys I have ever seen hit an OBJ. The speed, violence and precision is unmatched… I have see all the other various units on the ground put in work as well but there is a huge notable difference when you see these guys enter the OBJ.

As Tom Spooner said on the Shawn Ryan show they just told him to keep up when he first got there

I've heard that from initial selection to final integration into Delta, the attrition rate hovers around 95%. So 95% of those Green Berets, Rangers, etc. who test don't make it to the end. Mind-boggling.

Delta is the closest thing humans have to super hero’s. The lay civilian literally can’t even imagine in their wildest fantasy how amazing and mind blowing these men are.

He is saying what a few others I have heard say. Delta and ST6 are tier 1 and although the tier 2 operators are very good the tier 1 is just better at what they do. Their minds are better.

You only know what you know!! Thats a profound statement.

CQB is a painstakingly rehearsed dance and adding a dance partner who is unfamiliar with the complexities of said dance can and will lead to disastrous results.

It comes down to perfect shooters immersed in chaos (perceived by the bad guys.) Guys that can put rounds where they need to go just by looking with their eyes, not even consciously looking at their optic reticles because through hundreds of thousands of reps, it becomes and automatic response. As John Shrek McPhee and Matt Pranka have said, The Unit operator is a guy that has the ability to learn shooting at a level that is beyond what the broader military can teach. The shooting that Delta teaches within its organization came from the USPSA and civilian comp shooting world. Grand Master World champions like Rob Leatham, Jerry Miculek, Jerry Barnhart, Eric Kamps and going way back Jack Weaver etc. Deltas CQB and DA Tactics only work because of this foundation.

ive always like the comparison to professional athletes. like tier one is NFL, green berets/rangers/marsoc are NCAA football, and the big army is like highschool football.

DJ Shipley, ST6, and the son of the fake SeAL outer, Don Shipley, was on Shawn Ryan's show and he talks about this very same thing. He was quite in awe to see the difference between good and great. If you go to 1:59:20 of his Shawn Ryan interview, you can compare their descriptions of CQB at it's finest.

Strange that i can't make a respectful post about these guys and how much I respect them.

Obviously delta is best. They take the best from everyone else’s best.

Thank God for these men. I for one feel safer just listening. May sound silly and yet, they are trained for a reason and I respect each and everyone of them. All that serve actually..Thank you and may GOD protect you all❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
