Improve your Leveling Experience in Turtle WoW | Guide

Turtle wow has been the most fun private server I have been on in years. The fact they add raids, new zones, add to the story and make the questing great shows the care they have. Questing and mobs. Not just spamming dungeons. It's great.

Also to mention pfquest has an pfquest-turtle version which u can download which adds all the custom turtle quests to the pfquest addon. Make sure its a separate folder in your addons folder.

This server has a dragonflight UI addon which is so nice. Especially since it adds the grid when your moving your frames. It’s amazing

This has been the first time in my years playing wow i have actually slowed down and kept all my professions at my lv. Its been nice making my own gear and just enjoying the journey. Im 25 and still just slowing down finishing all the zones even if i over lever them. Would 100% recommend.

Imo to improve the experience one has to shift their focus from fast leveling to maximizing fun

And for me that means deactivation automatic quest text and not using any quest addons

Leveling will be slow but it makes much more fun to read the quests and stories and explore the world looking for quest objectives.

There are so many new quests in turtle wow, you don’t have to accept every quest anymore and optimize your routes. Just accept those that seem interesting and might have a good story about them.

This is exactly what I am missing on retail wow and other versions of wow but I feel this is the way turtle wow is meant to be played.

At least for me, this is what improving the leveling experience means for me.

Full rested xp is about 15 minutes :) Theres also a macro you can find online that tells you how many bubbles you have, which caps at 30

Glyph masters were removed in a recent patch. I learned the hard way after walking all the way back to Shadowglen. Good information though, thanks. I should have watched this from the start. Being a newish WoW player and new to Turtle is a wild ride.

There is one thing that would make me go back to Blizzard. Imagine this: An adventure mode! 1-60 takes as long as it did in classic. 61-70 takes as long as it did when TBC came out. 71-80 takes as long as it did when WotLK came out and so on. Sure, at one point they reduced the total max level, so you can even say that you level from 1-30 in the classic area. Of course, they need to fiddle with the numbers a bit but I would love that! I hate it so much that there is so so so much content but Blizzard nearly forbids you from playing it (sure, you can make one char for every expansion and then use chromie, but thats not the same as having one gigantic adventure). As someone who played WotLK classic on offical servers and who only plays a bit every evening, it took me around 2 months to reach 80. And this includes the fact that 1-70 are faster than in classic/TBC. And I love the thought of playing for a year and still learning new abilities. At my pace of playing maybe one new ability every week.

Being able to really live through the complete journey is what WoW is missing for me.

Doing the rested EXP like that reminds me of how you get bonus EXP buffs in Star Wars Galaxies. I really like that

when i loot, i get a tooltip in middle of the screen saying all the loot in my bags. It's bit annoying, how do i disable it?

I've been thinking of embarking on my own adventure in TurtleWoW, but I like to read up on the game beforehand and listen to what people think of the game. But that's kind of difficult right now as the forums are inaccessible. And while the addons page on the wiki is great, it's sorely lacking in information elsewise.
Also choosing a class when the journey takes such a long time is difficult. I'm torn between hunter and shaman, what issues with the classes have been adressed in this game? Because I don't really feel like playing the same class as they are in the official classic era.

Why the hell does PF quest show me quests that I've done ... So confusing when I run over to the map and the quest isn't there
