My guitar teacher always told me to be a lazy guitarist as in, if both chords your transitioning have the same note on the same fret and string, there’s no point of moving some of your fingers when you need that one note in the next chord. Hopefully that makes sense

Depending on the context I'll use the " wrong " fingering to help me lead into the next chord quickly and smoothly. Nothing ruins a passage like a sloppy transition

What do you do if you finger are crazy fat? How do I practice isolating the fretting with a sausages.

When I lift my finger it doesn’t sound smooth because the guitar makes noise when I remove my finger
