This was a very interesting episode. For me, what runs through all the stories is the fact that the ancients and the folks of long ago were a lot smarter than we think they were. The Antykathera computer is a Navigation computer navigating by the stars.
How do you think they were able to go to specific islands or Egypt or Israel or Cyprus & not get lost at sea?

The Antykathera is a ancient map that is used to navigate roman sailors among the treachurous high seass of the Mediterranean. If you see closely, there are green moulds that indicates islands to visit to. The main gear holds addition gears to operate the mechenism with some kind of scientific tool that was used in Roman times. There are also two symbols that indicate the sun and the moon so they can travel by the stars towards any stretcth of the sea beyond. That's the answer! I may not have an degree but I do have qualifications and travel experience that takes me back over 32 years.

Terrance Howard had a interview with Joe Rogan in that interview he claims that he built an exact replica of the Antykathera mechanism when he was 8 years old. He said it took him 6 months to build, he also said he could have made it in half the time but he would get grounded/punished often for wetting the bed.
