If you are using Valve Index controllers, you may want to verify that calibration is correct from within SteamVR. You can then launch SkyrimVR from there directly. Rename SKSE_loader to SkyrimVR and rename SkyrimVR to Skyrim. No exe. necessary. Rename the application files not a folder. Then the Steam and the SteamVR Skyrim launch buttons launch SKSE_loader first. This may give the occasional orange error in Vortex, just dismiss it. Vortex just doesn't see SKSE_loader because it is renamed.
