How To Output One Audio Source to Two Devices on Windows

In this tutorial you will learn how to enable the sound on two audio devices from one single source.

I'm using two headsets, one is connected to my computer through a 3.5mm jack, and the other one is USB connected.

This tutorial is made on a computer with Realtek soundcard and Windows 7.

Thanks bro, your idea didn't exactly work but it gave me an idea.

First - Make sure you have stereo mix, ... If you don't then you have to look for the (stereo mix) driver online and make sure it's compatible with your pc/laptop.

Then once it's downloaded and installed, I had to make stereo mix my default device under the "Recording" tab in "Sounds."

Then make the headphone plugged into the front 3.5 mm audio jack of the computer my default device under "Playback."

My on board audio does not work with this method, but I did manage to use this method to get my mic to output to my HDMI tv sound to cut out my feedback! Thank you very much!

To all the people asking how to reduce the delay, you need to buy a 3rd party sound card if your device does not have one already. The hardware on most windows PC's can't support realtime playback on two devices at once without the added hardware. Additionally, most soundcards will come with a 3rd party software that will allow you to configure all of this from within their interface. If you want to play through two devices at once with no lag, you must download the program "Voice Meeter", this is donation only software, but it works so well I that I suggest everyone donate.

Thanks for this. to the people getting lag, I think it is most likely in issue with your device getting a delayed signal, to which i suggest you either improve signal strength somehow, or get a better device.

This worked great for me! I use Win7 with a Korus V400. I have my Logitech Z2300 sub & speakers in the living room while the V400 plays the same music in the back bedroom. A small bit of lag is evident if I stand right between the 2 sources but that just makes a live show sound even better. Thank you for this very helpful video!!

Holy Crap Batman. Ive been looking for this solution for years. Wow, everyone said it was not possible. Thanks so much! Very surprised it was so simple. Not great for multiple speaker sets, get a sound card. But exactly what i want for headphones and speakers. Great for recording or gaming when friends are watching (while still getting all benefits of headphones)
