I got this deal a few years back at $450 and I couldn’t be happier. It was an $800 combo if bought separately at the time. Even with the saw at its usual sale of $399 it’s still an over $600 combo. Just wish Dewalt would find a way to slap some support arms for the out riggers without having to buy them separately.

Careful Vince. Home Depot likes to sell the DWS780 with the compact miter saw stand while Lowes will sell you the DWS779 with the full size miter saw stand. They do this every year so it really comes down to what's more important. Having a blade light, or wider support?

Got a similar deal a few years ago. At first bought saw and stand individually. A few days later they offered the combo. Bought that and returned the original purchase. Saved at least $300.

Picked this up today. The DWS780 has some extra pro features that the DWS779 doesn't but I'm not a pro so not worth the price difference to me. Biggest difference is the light kit. Ordered one of those.
