Why People are Freaking Out Over this RuneLite Update

RuneLite 's GPU Plugin Update promises improve FPS and make your game run smoother. Sure makes OSRS look a lot better than before. What do you guys think of the update?

Making Jagex look bad, they should be doing this to the original client so that we don’t HAVE to use 3rd party clients. I love runelite, just wish Jagex would focus on the interface rather than constantly adding new things to the game. 🤞🏼

It should be noted that changing your draw distance does NOT show players or monsters. So if you plan to use it in the wildy while farming lava dragons players still show up at the BASE draw distance. I found this out the hard way. q.q

If you climb to the top floor of the Watchtower north of Yanille you'll be able to see the Abyssal Nexus above the Fight Arena

A few bugs/silly things so far with it:
The Mime random event can be seen from the Underground Pass.
The Abyssal Sire area can both be seen from the Watchtower top floor and from the upper levels of the Agility Pyramid.
Overlay text, health bars, and overhead prayers turn black when grabbed by Glough or Dusk, or when on the bottom 25% of the screen in the Smoke Dungeon.
Myth's Guild, Tutorial Island, Poison Waste, Kebos, and Port Khazard have strange black squares on the world map if the GPU plugin is on when the map is opened.

All of that said, though, it's still an incredible update and I'm sure these will be addressed in future updates (except maybe being able to see places from other places, since that's just how the map is built).

runescape needs to add where you click on your map, not mini map, you run/walk there.

At this rate runelite will just evolve into oshd (08-2010 graphics) on its own. Which is great.

The unique skyboxes is what I’m most excited about. The open gl skybox was nice sometimes but for the most part kinda sucked. U had a skybox underground. Wtf.

It doesnt work for me, when I turn it on my game crashes if someone has a solution it would be awesome! Even though its probaby my shitty pc lol.
