I have used these as fixes a few times and they have lasted the life of the tire. FWIW, I coat the plug with rubber cement prior to putting it in the tire. Works as a lubricant when first putting it in then adds to the great seal from the plug.

These things should be a time tested standard. I religiously use the Slime brand of tire plugs and have never had an issue. As long as the puncture isnt on the corner of your tire or the sidewall, these plugs are a permanent fix; provided the hole you're repairing isn't much bigger than the reamer tool itself. I've got three plugs in my back right tire, and it's lasted all of 5 years since the first repair, with no issues.

Even though they say these are a temporary fix, I'm guessing to protect from lawsuits, I have had one for at least 6 years before my tire needed to be replaced due to your normal worn out.  Defiantly good stuff.  Never had it leak either.

Ive had these patches survive over 100k, they work well.

I an redoing one no, but I suspect user error. I just pulled the old plug out and will reinstall carefully! Found this because I wanted to make sure there wasn't a problem with the product.

Thank you for the video. I kept this kit in car for last six months and recently fixed a flat with it from a puncture like yours. TPMS has shown perfect air pressure after about 500 miles of driving. We have a 2, 000 round trip road trip coming in October. Would it be safe to use this or should I just get the tire repaired?

Why does Slime packaging only show ATV, Trailer, motorcycle, tractor images on their packages? They never show images of cars or trucks? Are these not to be used for full size cars & trucks?

Slime is good for bikes I ran over a staple (quite large) I pulled it out and it was fine

Tire shop says it is temporarily and not safe. They say that because you can do it yourself.
