Показать описание
Learn how to encrypt PDF files. Add a password to your PDF with our Smallpdf tool.
In this day and age, you can’t be too careful about who you share your information with. Maybe you have a very important PDF that’s only meant for certain people to see. You could print it out, put it in a folder marked “Classified”, and cross your fingers it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
OR... you could keep it simple and use Smallpdf’s “Protect PDF” tool to add a password and encryption to your file. In fact, it might just be the simplest way to secure the valuable information in your PDFs.
Here’s how to add a password and encrypt your PDF using Smallpdf:
2. Choose “Protect PDF” from our menu of tools.
3. Drag your PDF into the toolbox to upload it.
4. Next, you’ll be asked to set a password for your file. Just type your password into the open fields, and select “Encrypt PDF”.
5. In a few moments, your PDF will be encrypted.
6. And your new password-protected PDF will be ready for download.
To secure your file, we encrypt it with a powerful 128-bit AES encryption. This makes it impossible to open your PDF without the correct password. And to protect your privacy, we’ll never store your password or PDF on our server.
