Learn how to find the equation of the horizontal asymptote of a rational function in this video math tutorial by Mario's Math Tutoring. We discuss the 3 scenarios: when the ratio of the highest powered term in the numerator is the same as the highest powered term in the denominator, when the denominator's power is higher than the numerator, and thirdly when the numerator's highest power is higher than the denominator. We also discuss how to recognize when there is a slant asymptote.

What about something such as finding the horizontal asymptote of (x+3)^3/(x-3)^3 I'd think it would be ha y=1 but when I graph it it looks more like ha y=0.
