⚠️ Bulking Can RUIN Your Physique (WARNING)

Показать описание
If you want to build muscle and achieve an aesthetic body, this is why bulking (specifically dirty bulking) can be disastrous. When it comes to a dirty bulk vs clean bulk (or "lean bulk", whichever term you use), lean bulking is definitely the superior approach for your muscle building program. Your body can only gain muscle at a limited rate, and anything beyond a calorie surplus of about 200-300 daily will just be stored as body fat. Regular bulking and cutting cycles are going to be the most efficient path for most people, but make sure you're doing your bulking cycle properly and taking things slowly. You'll look better, feel better and won't have to do a long cutting phase later on to burn fat that you gained during the bulk.

I feel like this is something everyone who's tried to build muscle has done 😆 roughly 8 years ago, I tried to "bulk" up and wound up looking fluffy at 205 lbs. My wife had to slap some sense into me to make me realize that I didn't build any muscle 😅 I love her 🤘

Everybody tries the dirty bulk at least once. And they learn their lesson the hard way when the time comes to cut back down

I am 73 soon to be 74. I have been lifting for almost 60 years. I have always maintained an ideal BW of 154 for me with a BF around 7%. You are exactly right about bulking. Your vids are common sense!

"Bodyfat = 9000%" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Goals change with age. I did powerlifting recreationally for years. Got strong AF in the gym. But was also fat AF with no fitness and felt like shit.

Over time you realize "gym strength" is not really important in day to day. I mean some guys are obsessed with strength. But they don't have labor intensive jobs, they're not athletes in a sport, etc..Their only use of strength day to day is the gym.

I'd honestly rather have great relative strength, have mobility, really good conditioning, and have visible abs with my shirt off. What's the point of lifting huge if you have to be fat AF to do it?

Learned this the hard way. Now I am cutting until I get to around 13% bf and after that I will be only in small surplus(200 calories). I was much stronger when I was dirty bulking but I was ashamed when I had my shirt of even tho I was fairly bigger than now.

Change the title to "dirty bulk" not bulking since its a vague statement

Nah the bulked out Sean looked yoked out of his mind. It was an aesthetic bloatlord look.

I've been guilty of this before some 8 years ago. I went on a calorie deficit, changed my diet, and saw results. It's much harder to burn the fat once you gain it, lol!

Lucky I saw this short, I was trying to go for a 4, 000 calorie diet to help bulk. Thanks for the tips.

Thanks to my Polynesian genetics the "dirty bulk" physique is my natural body type. I'm trying to lose body fat to get out of it though

Wow. Diet is so important. I got overweight on healthy foods. My cholesterol and other blood markers were great but I still put on too much fat. It has taken time to come back down to a reasonable weight. I did as you recommended and now in a small surplus (250 calories) I see much better body composition. :)

Now we know what Brian Shaw would look like if he ever decides to get shredded

I can attest to this. I was frustrated with being thin so I just ate, ate, ate. I would walk an extra 5 minutes and think that would warrant an extra 200 calories for the day, no lie! Well I put on a lot of fat, needless to say. So I did my first cut, which I eventually realized would need to be at least 6 months long, so I ended up rushing that as well. Lost a lot of my muscle. Now I have regained all my strength and then some, but I’m 18 pounds lighter. Now I’m at a roughly 300-500 calories surplus and gaining weight slowly and steadily. Do not rush this process, especially as a natural. Lifting is a lifelong commitment, it must be done in a sustainable way. The extra fat DOES NOT provide extra strength. It will just be extra weight you’ll have to eventually deal it. And it will be annoying. Take it slow and sustainably. You will thank yourself in the future!!

Eat everything, eat the fridge. Lift heavy weights and put on size that way. If and only if you have a work ethic and disciple. You will easily be able to cut, and look shredded. I’ve bulked and cut my entire life, and I look like Jason Genova

As long as you don't consume more than a 500 caloric surplus, you're good to go. Track your macros and calories EVERY SINGLE day, watch out for your carbs and fat! I highly recommend getting on an aggressive strength training program when bulking (fierce 5, madcow..) as this will give you the most "bang for your buck", depending on your level and goals, hypertrophy works fine as well. Assess your weight every week and keep track of your body weight, this way you'll see how your body responds. Other than that I highly recommend bulking if you wanna put on size, stick to healthy foods (potato, salmon, rice, broccoli, chicken, beef, dairy, nuts, etc... vegetables), and If you bulk tooo hard or dirty bulk tooo aggressively you'll eventually turn into skinny fat! Good luck everyone!
