You don't judge a dirty bulk at the end of the bulk, you judge it once you cut and see if it was worth the amount of muscle gained.

Dirty bulking isn't wrong. I mean it's just not for everyone, it helps a lot for those who are really skinny and struggle so much to put on some weight. It depends from person to person.



So, let's not blame dirty bulking and appreciate the fact it's just not for everyone. If you wanna put on descent amount of muscle mass i prefer stick to clean bulking, eat in a caloric surplus but eat right foods and not anything you have around you!

For them dirty bulking is pointless
But for a person who's really into strength dirty bulking is the best option

I think he has stated a very true. Thing.he was in his best and active shape and state before bulking like a beast.I think this msg should be conveyed to all that for generally most of the public only want to stay fit and look well shaped in clothes, very few are into bodybuilding so bulking like beastie not mandatory.thanks for an honest review about urself.

Dirty bulking consists of eating everything in sight. Clean bulking consists of eat more of carbs to protein ratio with less fats. Those carbs give you better energy and more glycogen levels to be active. Also clean bulking consists of keeping a track of your daily calorie intake and also to surplus it 200+ every week till you achieve a certain body goal for which you are working for.

Dirty bulking has its place. If you are a hard gainer with a high metabolism and you just can’t handle eating 4-5000 calories of healthy proteins and foods then do what you need to hit your macros.
If that’s 3 double cheeseburgers a day and a gallon of ice cream that is fine but remember you have to put in that extra work to make up for it.
Typical full workout is around 13-1700 calories burned depending on intensity. If you dirty bulk, you need to crank up that intensity to match your excess calories and carbs.

I'll always dirty bulk for muscle gains. Being very meticulate about everything is for true blue bodybuilding, but I still like beer, burgers, and steak, that adds a cushion to my body, and a weight vest i can fast off in time for summer.

there's a reason it's called a dirty bulk, because it isn't good for you, completely agree with you I don't know why people think it's good, it's just "muscle faster" but when is it ever better to have something done faster? better to do a clean bulk for a long time, eat healthy and a lot and you are good.

I have never dirty bulked. I always eat a healthy diet of chicken, eggs, fruit, veg, dairy, nuts and wheat aiming for 3000 calorie a day, but I still put on fat everytime I bulk. It is disheartening because it makes me start cutting again to get rid of the fat and start bulking again at a smaller calorie surplus. Same thing happens I put on fat again. I think putting on fat is unavoidable during bulking.

Dirty bulking as a beginner is absolutely underrated in my opinion. You do need to eat big to get big. Now if you're constantly eating pizzas and icecreams than you're an idiot but if you eat sufficient protein in every meal with good fats and clean complex carbs, its the fastest way to grow. I gained about 8 kgs in 2 months eating about 4000 calories a day as a skinny fat kid and realised i wasn't skinny fat, i just didn't have any muscle so i actually recomped. Meaning i probably gained about a kg or two of fat but rest everything was lean muscle so in ratio i actually lost a 1% of fat.

Agree completely! I've done this myself and have learned the hard (painful) way that it's not really worth it, gains or not.

That said, there's a RIGHT way to "eat dirty" WHILST bulking... and get away with it. Carb and protein cycling.

The way to get away with eating dirty during a bulk is two part really:

1) just don't smash the calories too hard, every SINGLE DAY... have "low cal" days > crucial part of carb cycling

2) also, make sure to TIME your nutrient intake (nutrient TIMING, key part of body recomping/building mass whilst minimising FAT gain...) as CLOSE as possible to when you LIFT hard, either immediately before OR after, ideally AFTER so that your muscles are SOAKING up those extra (if dirty bulking, then mostly high SUGAR but maybe some sat fats from dairy if ice cream is involved?) calories after you've both broken down the tissues plus released a ton of endogenous IGF-1.

That SAID... really, genetics and body type have A LOT to do with it. If you have a fast metabolism, you most likely will take WAY longer to get fatter anyway. But having a fast metabolism ALSO means it'll take LONGER for your body to actually gain FAT than it will for you to feel the effects of too much sugar ie sugar headaches/sluggish energy levels etc

Carb cycle your "cheat meals", nutrient time your naughty foods as close as possible to hard lifting, should be less of an issue. And overall, always consider your own body type and metabolism.
