I just unscrew the wire nut and reuse it.

I feel like he cut the wirenut off just to rustle jimmies so everyone would rush to the comments section and tell him that was dumb so it boots the engagement for his video. Big brain time.

I'm an electrician for 4 years and to this day didn't know I could push the solid wire without opening the lever lol

Been an electrician for 9 yrs, didn't know until this video that I could actually just stick in those solids into the Wago without opening it first. I mean now that I think about it, it really is obious that it should work! You learn something new every day!

I’m an American electrician and I have to say euro electricians are a step above. Really enjoy watching euro work.

I was at an electrician convention a few months ago; there was a salesman for Wago there. In talking to him, I learned it's actually pronounced "Wah-go" versus "Way-go" like I had been saying for years. Mind shattered.

The best advice given to me was that the nut doesn't make the connection, the nut caps the connection. Twist them then cap them

Wirenuts for permanent connections like inside a junction box or an outlet or switch box (I also wrap wirenuts in tape).
Wagos for things that might be replaced from time to time, like ceiling fixtures, or work shops that are reconfigured frequently.

In New Zealand Joins are done with Screw terminals and secured in an accessible jbox, Switches and Sockets have all the nessasary screw terminals available to accommodate any nessasary joins.

I’m sure you could just unscrew the nut and reuse it.

For solid conductors, we usually use Wago 2273 in Germany.
