Windows File Explorer is an incredibly useful tool for managing files on your computer. This video, Part 3 of 5 in the How to Use Windows File Explorer tutorial, will show you how to rename files and folders, add folders and organize your files using folders. You'll also learn about file name extensions, the strange dot and letters that come at the end of a filename, plus you'll learn what Libraries are, how to manage existing Libraries, and even how to setup your own, custom Libraries for incredibly convenient file management.

In this five part video tutorial, you'll learn all about the File Explorer program interface, how to move files, copy files, rename files, duplicate files, find missing files, manage libraries, and so much more.

The best explanation of understanding windows and file explorer that I found. Five tutorials sounded like a lot but nothing compared to the hours and anxiety I have spent moving things around with uncertainty and not being able to recall what I did and needed. Can also watch the particular tutorial that is needed. My file ignorance was holding me back from learning photo editing software that is challenging enough without looking all over for files. Fred is a great! teacher/instructor. Thanks Fred, Jose

Best, most proficiently explained video on files ever. You never jump around at warp factor speed or anything. I guess thats because you are smarter than the rest.

When I click This PC I only get Devices and drives. Previously I got Folders, Devices and drives and Networks. How do I get all three? Thanks,

Thanks Fred...I bought a new computer a year ago and added Microsoft Office Student. I never intended to have "One Drive" as the default storage. I thought that they were being stored on my PC and were backed up in One Drive. A tech guy downloaded all the stuff from One Drive into a folder I named "O.D. Dump". I still see "One Drive" icons and pop-ups to open One Drive again. Do I need to move or cut the files from the "Dump" file to wherever I need to put them? I do note need nor want One Drive. Should I uninstall it? How would I go about reorganizing the "Dump"...as I want the files back to the point where they would have been had they been saved to my computer. Also, I am a little confused as to how work side by side with the Navigation pane and the folders in the middle pane. I'm a slow learner! ...I should probably go back and review parts 1, 2 and 3...I haven't gotten to 4 and 5 yet. Thanks again and ditto on your excellent presentations.

These videos are very good. I am learning a lot. Everybody should know how a computer works and for this reason I am leaving a comment for the algorithm. I hope that you reach a lot of people!
