How is the translucency of the paper? Is there much bleed-through? It looks pretty good. I have the ESV by Augustine Press, which looks similar, but I must confess has some bleed-through versus, say the RSV2CE by Ignatius Press. Appreciate any thoughts.

Looks a bit underwhelming in that it seems to be the same as the much cheaper SPCK hardback (both are printed in Italy by Lego) but with gilding and a high quality cover. I suppose it depends how highly you value the cover and gilding.

I like the ESV translation but do not have the CE. I will have to check it out. It is a bit pricey. I do not believe the Catholic Church recommends the ESV translation. But that shouldn't stop people from reading multiple translations. Thanks for the review. I really like the Word on Fire Bible as well, but so far it only includes the New Testament. God Bless all!

Very nice video. Nothing very special about this bible but they are asking a premium price for it. Black and White maps.... I'll pass and save my money. I was hoping this was going to be an extraordinary Bible to own (for the price it should be) but alas it is not.
