You recommend repairing hernias way before a surgical emergency is needed. In practice, good luck scheduling surgery for a hernia in a timely fashion.

A hernia surgery can also make the patient have more pain and discomfort than they had before having surgery. Ask me how I know. There is a big risk of a nerve being cut that will cause numbness and later pain after the numbness goes away. This is pain that will never go away.

I didnt hear her give the whys or reasons for choosing between Laproscopic or Desarda. All she said was "it's done on an individual basis". Please explain the reasons for choosing either procedure.

I had one of these when I was a baby. The scar still remains 30+ years later.

I just had the desarda method of no mesh and had it done at the U First Health in Ft Myres. Fl.. I would highly recommend it because they use your own muscle to build a wall instead of mesh and they also use absorb-able thread is the only way I know how to say it, , That dissolves over time.. So there is nothing foreign in your body. The clinic has the pain down to a minimal and the whole overall procedure is like a science to them they done 3, 000 with almost a 100 percent success rate.. The mesh or the Ly[roscopic cant compete to that....

I woke up after my surgery and felt great. Didn't even use my pain pills. Went back to work the next day.

What if the patient is over 65 years old? Can the age of the patient have different outcomes for successful recovery?

I’m waiting right now for my appointment, this is the exact procedure I need, man I hate hospitals and even though my guts are falling out I’m almost too scared to go. Somehow I keep telling myself I can live with it, but it’s the size of a baseball

My main symptom is not a bulge, but a burning pain that goes away when I sit or, better still, lie flat. This is the case now with my right side inguinal hernia. It was the same symptom before I had the left side repaired, open with mesh, 7 years ago. I am now waiting for surgery on the right, but the health service in Britain has been overwhelmed due to COVID-19.

Hey doc
Well here is my story..
Woke up to go to work and felt a sharp pain go from my feet up to my thighs and then nut sack. Seen a small bump on the right side of my testicles and dont feel pain touching it but when I walk I feel a sharp pain. Mostly when I walk up stairs. Surgery cost a lot and more than I can make I imagine even for follow ups.

Note:
Feel sharp pains in the side of my stomach (right side appendix area).
Edit:
Feel my right thighs tighter.

Hi Everyone!

I feel something in my left testicle but their is no pain or any abnormality. I have had this since I can remember but I have kept it to myself. I am too afraid tell anyone or go to the doctor. Does anyone have any Idea what could it be as I have never felt pain.

Thanks and looking forward to your kind suggestions.
