Hi Taz, the "mold" in your kettle could have been just a stone boiled out of your tap water, uk tap water is considered as hard, highly mineral water!
For the cleaning method I don't like the vinegar smell staying in the kettle so we use at home 50% water and 50% lemon juice, works well too!

5:03 lime scale remover! You can buy liquid packets and it has all instructions on the side! It takes around 15 minutes that’s it!!!😊

supposed to use half the seasoning packet, if you eat the noodles like that! since there's less water to dilute the seasoning, itll be more salty which is why yours probably came out very salty!

being in the south east (a kent girly here) you get a high chalk count in our water. buy some bicarb of soda and once a week put a couple teaspoons in and boil the water, empty and repeat. make sure you run it with just water after for a few boils :)

If you're having a lot of trouble with mold at your place (and not just mostly on old food) a dehumidifier might be really helpful! :)

The 1st thing in my brain was, 'why not pop all of it (salad) in a food chopper for a good 5 secs and you're done.' hahahaha

Hey Taz. So funny you're mentioning about your accent.
I was binging some of your old videos yesterday and thought there is a slight difference but it's not super different to how it used to be. Like you said yourself, just certain words.
Anyway, thank you for being you and for the cool vids. Always enjoy❤

The old kettle’s “mould” was most likely either limescale or minerals as London’s water is considered hard water 🙂. There was probably a way to clean it out, but I hope you disposed of it responsibly :)

There is a kettle descaler in most supermarkets. Basically a solution that you add for a bit to break the scale formed in the kettle. I do that once a week or so.

Probably hard water inside the kettle. Could have also been mold if you never rinsed it out and allowed it to dry. If it wasn't cleaned often enough and left always wet...mold could have formed. That's why I never use those kettles. Would only use glass (to be able to see)...or just heat water in a pot.

Hi! The instruction manual tells you how to clean your kettle. You need to do it monthly, or when is a small layer if stone/limescale forms. It's really easy. Mine works like that: in a jug I dissolve citric acid in that much water that is the minimal amount you can boil in your kettle. Mine is half a liter. I use a teaspoon for that. I stir until every citric acid granule is dissolved. I boil the water, and leave it in 5-15 minutes.* You rinse the kettle under running water and you boil the kettle with full water twice.

If the whole kettle is limescaled: you pour more water (until the top line) after 5 minutes of letting it to dissolve. You this after I put the * symbol. You boil again, and rinse the same way I wrote above. It works like a charm.

For the outside I use a microfiber cloth, with just water. Almost every day, but at least weekly. If it's too dirty you can use bicarbonate of soda in the water, just a bit. Works for most surfaces.

One super effective way to clean a kettle is to put like 1 tablespoon of citric acid powder into an almost full kettle and just boiling the water. It will look brand new when you empty the kettle! 😊
