From a 30, 000 foot view, how the hell can a puppy, that obviously wasn't trained properly, distinguish between going after pheasants or chicken? The poorly trained dog gets murdered, yet the poor trainer is still roaming free!!

We just adopted an 18 month old puppy from an animal shelter. She is energetic and at times a little mischievous, just like most puppies. We found her a good trainer, and her behavior has definitely improved. The fact that Noem chose to kill rather than put the time and effort into training Cricket reveals that the Governor is a LAZY MONSTER and lacks in all leadership skills.

Why couldn’t she just turn the animals over to a shelter or rehome them? Don’t you go to jail for blatantly killing animals?

I had a Weimaraner that as a younger dog wasn't a good dog for hunting. It took time and training - and at the age of 2 years old became an excellent bird dog. Also, why didn't she have the dog leashed to prevent her from getting out and killing the chickens? The story is disgusting.

She said :"I hated that dog" and then said killing the pup showed how she's capable of making tough decisions. Killing an animal out of hatred doesn't show you are capable of making tough decisions. It shows you are capable of violence when angered. Not someone I want in public office. She's a psycho.
