Once upon a time, this was a great company. A lesson on how corporate mismanagement and greed have ruined it. Unfortunately, this lesson is lost on corporate America.

What a mess. This is what you get when accountants run the show rather than engineers.

Boeing should've never merged with McDonnell-Douglas

Pay them a livable wage as opposed to a $33m departure package for the exCEO.

Boeing’s next Airplane is at least 10 years away. The promise to build it in Puget Sound is as empty as the promise to keep the 787 here. If the new CEO wants to deliver the over 3000 737’s on backorder, He needs to accept the fact that We are not his personal slaves. He just bought a $4million home in Seattle. You can’t buy a house anywhere in Boeing territory for less than a half a million dollars that isn’t a dump. That is a mortgage we of us can’t afford on current wages.

Used to be a Boeing fan, Boeing classic is where it’s at. Whatever this company is now I pray for their downfall. Greed never wins.

Joe sutter and bill allen would be disappointed to see whats happening now.

The last 757 left the factory just under 20 years ago and why Boeing hasn't designed and built an NMA replacement is a real stain on the company and its incompetent management. Airbus will have a several year lead with their A321 variants.

DJ, I am a regular viewer of your YT series. It now looks as if you need to take a step back and reconsider the opinions of the workers who build these amazing machines. It is no exaggeration to state that the employees are both outraged and heartbroken with the poor leadership of the golden parachute execs who brought this company to its knees and callously caused the unnecessary deaths of 346 people. Where is the grey area line between YT content producer and journalist? I feel you need to express a higher level of empathy for the workers who are so personally invested in this company. They are trying to make an important point. Listen to them.

37 + years boeing has been stripping its worker's of benefit's sense 1989. They must do better for workers and CEO's need to take less.

So the people who help make planes for the essentially the entire world aren’t getting a reasonable salary? There is no excuse for this…as a child Boeing was one of those companies that you looked up to, that’s all gone

If this doesn’t explain why they’re striking, then probably nothing will. When my friend started working at Boeing, he was making 7-times more per hour than those making minimum wage. He now makes only 3-times more. WTF??? Yeah, that’s right! ONLY 3-times. Minimum wage is gaining on skilled labor pay right in front of everyone’s faces, but no one says anything about that! He inspects the aircraft before its maiden flight to insure that everything is as it should be. These are vessels that repeatedly take people to an atmosphere that doesn’t support life, daily, for the next 25 years (give or take a couple for various reasons). The airlines pay their mechanics on the average $10-20 more per hour than Boeing pays. Boeing pay was at one time more than the airlines. If my friend wasn’t so close to retiring, he told me that he would’ve left Boeing for the airlines. Just remember the next time that your plane is bouncing around in turbulence, and we’ve all been there, who did Boeing hire to build that plane and what was their skill level?

Boeing’s worst recent decision was discontinuing the 757. Should have re-engined it and kept that champ going!

That's what murderous corporate greed gets you. No pitty for Boeing.
