This Calculus 3 video explains vector projections and scalar projections of vectors in 3-dimensional space. We show you how to interpret these types of projections geometrically, as well as develop the formulas for how to calculate these. We also work some examples of finding vector projections and scalar projections onto another vector in 3D space.
