Very nice tutorial for both scalar and vector projection :) Nothing about orthogonal here, but if you want to prove it orthogonal all you have to do is show that angle is 90 degree and your done.

Yes! So essentially the vector projection of b along a is just the component of b along a times the unit vector of a... That makes so much sense.

I think there should be a better description of the geometric interpretation. This is purely computational, and it's not really worth learning if you're just memorizing, other than if it's for a test.
