Hi, I’m Krista! I make math courses to keep you from banging your head against the wall. ;)

Math class was always so frustrating for me. I’d go to a class, spend hours on homework, and three days later have an “Ah-ha!” moment about how the problems worked that could have slashed my homework time in half. I’d think, “WHY didn’t my teacher just tell me this in the first place?!”

If it is was the projection form a onto b we would've divided by vector b?

Whats the different between B onto A and A onto B can anyone tell ?

Автор

There needs to be a commandment from the math gods to change the way everyone says comp_a b and proj_a b.
Away with "the scalar projection of b onto a"
In with "the scalar projection upon a, b"

in order to find the projection of two vector can i use this formula ? or is it correct if i use ?

for example:

find the projection of f onto w?

proj f = ( f^(T) *( w / |w| )) * ( w / |w| )
w

f^(T) is the transpose of f

thanks
