I'm so in love with how much delight Poseidon is taking in fucking with Oddyesseus. The smile is so sadistic and his movements are almost playful until he traps in head in the water. Such excellent storytelling and art all at once! 💕

I LOVE how you had things align with how they happened in the Odyssey. The Laestrygonians destroying the ship with boulders, and the ship actually FLYING away?? Amazing details!!! Also, those water steps were SICK, so was the giant water Cyclopes

Wow. Just wow. This is personal. The water Polyphemus is terrifying. Poseidon uses his other offsprings, the laestrygonians, to brutally murder and totally destroy Odysseus' fleet. His grandchildren are avening his son while the water shaped into his son holds Odysseus' ship. Poseidon doesn't care about the fleet. They're just soldiers who follow orders. The laestrygonians can have them. But the one who gave the order to stab his son in the eye is Odysseus. And Poseidon must personally make sure that he dies after witnessing his whole fleet get destroyed.

All in all, this is extremely underrated.

Your take on Poseidon is unique compared to others. While all the rest portray him as a giant, you went with a less human design. That I approve.

I absolutely love how you got creatively sadistic with Poseidon's powers here, creating a massive water Polyphemus, drowning Ody inside his watery form, and even bloodbending Ody. That and the Laestrygonians destroying the fleet to go closer to the original epic are awesome touches, and I love how creepy and evil you made the giants look. Definitely one of the most creative interpretations!
