1. Backlit screen
2. Rechargeable
3. Can play GB, GBC and GBA games

But you can like whatever you want.

I like the Gameboy Pocket

Reason 1:Small and fits in pocket really well
Reason 2:black and white display unlike the Original one which is grey.

I also like the Gameboy Color

Reason 1: decent size
Reason 3: You can buy a worm light for it

I recommend buying a cable for it so you never need batteries. As long as you sit close enough to a wall and don't plan on taking it portably a cable is your best friend.

I have one for my Sega game gear and I love it. That thing needs the cable especially bad.

As a Gen Z old soul person I bought multiple GameBoy’s like the GBA and GameBoy original for software development purposes as a Software Engineer. I make GameBoy games in the C programming language and the thing I love about the GameBoy is no DRM, no need to connect to the internet, no updates, and you own the Game compared to new Games. I love the GameBoy Software Development Kits, and lastly as a Software Engineer who by the way a Gen Z with a old soul warms my heart that GameBoys are still worth.😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉😎😎😎🤓🤓🤓

Just got a gba sp. Apparently I had one when I was way younger but I don't remember. According to my memory, my first handheld was the dsi. I am loving my gba sp, but I really want the feel of the old original gameboy, so I'm thinking of expanding my collection

I didn't grow up with the game boy systems but due to the fact I like collecting old video games the first game boy I owned was the game boy color atomic purple for the win baby!

I grew up with the Game Boy systems since the 1990s. Due to that, I like collecting video games. The first Game Boy I owned was the DMG-001 one, the second Game Boy was the Game Boy Color atomic purple, the third Game Boy was the Game Boy Advance, and I don't own Game Boy Pocket and Game Boy Advance SP yet, but one day. I can play each Game Boy systems (original, Pocket, Color Advance, Advance SP) and it can play the entire DMG, Color and GBA libraries. I prefer all the Game Boy systems. They still work.

My first and only handheld to this day is the GBA SP with the brighter screen and I think it's the better Gameboy since it's rechargeable, has a folding screen so it doesn't scratch up, even more portable and is backwards compatible with previous GB games
