Are women's period pains being taken seriously by doctors?| Endometriosis Awareness Month | UBTV
UBTV's Sophia Crothall asked female students whether they think women's period pains are being taken seriously by GPs, why the pill isn't always an effective solution and what needs to be done by the government to tackle the inequality in women's healthcare.
Sophia was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2021 following a 6 year battle. It takes the average women 7 years to reach a diagnosis. This month is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and today is also International Women's Day. UBTV wanted to bring light to these issues and encourage women to seek support.
