3:20 that buildup was the best thing I’ve heard in my life. Bravo.

Even after two months since I found this, I’m still listening to this art. Thanks Marc!

From 2:50 That`s my favorite part. That melody also appears in Building Panic.
When the glass roof was broken and the water was pouring in.

Fantastic video! I just love the part at 4:47, where the main theme tries to emerge from the orchestra but it's never allowed to achieve its former beauty, instead the underlying trumpet ostinato adding a constant sense of danger and unease that doesn't leave room for romanticism in this tragedy.

I think some parts Horner's score tend to be a bit overlooked because of the popular success of the love theme and the song arrangement, but he really did some fantastic action writing for the movie, as well as the obvious, and greatly effective, romantic and emotional parts. Such a great score and you definitely did it justice!

At this point, you should be in every orchestra because you’ve mastered all the greats 😅

so so good..since the soundtrack cam out in the 90's I have always wanted a brass band version to cover 'The Sinking', and many others on the album too..

That was awesome Marc ! And of course the second part is Death of Titanic . That was the film version . James Horner and Don Davis at the orchestration. Don understands very well James Horner and do amazing work together. High register horns is here doubled by the descant horns at top for the fast passages and a piccolo trumpet plus for force .
The sinking parts from Hard to Starboard until Death of Titanic, are the dark turn of the story . Really love the reprises of the love theme, more dramatic, darker but with a little hope in mood. Classic James Horner plays with 3rd up and down modulations straight back and forth and for more suspense bright major lydian chords and chromatic clusters to brass, and thundering percussions . The choral part is hauntingly beautiful and gives chills . That is why it inspired me go into film music . A masterpiece. That was my start to know James Horner and reserch his work. The previous era and the later era . Don Davis as orchestrator did a hi level job.

Brilliant work, Marc! You are by far the best Horn player on YouTube!
If you are still interested in doing more Disney music, I suggest you take a look at the famous song 'Good Company' from the animated Disney film 'Oliver & Company'.
The song plays the same melody on repeat but with different modulations and orchestrations which makes it sound so interesting and playful to the ears!
For me personally, I like the solo Trumpet part near the end of the song. It's so good! I guess you would need to bring out your Trumpet on this one ;)
