Oliver and Lucas go back in time to learn about the Titanic, a grand and majestic ship.

The Titanic was one of the largest and most beautiful ship of its time as it was designed to be the most luxurious ship in the world as it had many fancy rooms, a grand staircase, restaurants, and even a swimming pool.

The Titanic was called “the ship of dreams” and was known as the “unsinkable ship" because it was so large and strong.

On April 10, 1912 the Titanic made its first and only voyage from England to New York City.
Tragedy struck when the Titanic hit an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean. The iceberg caused a big hole in the ship's side, and water started to flood in. Sadly, the Titanic couldn't stay afloat. It sank into the icy cold waters of the Atlantic.

Oliver and Lucas explore Melbourne Museum to see the Titanic: The Artefact Exhibition that features over 200 real artefacts, recovered directly from the sea-floor of the wreck site of the Titanic.
This exhibition delves into the remarkable story of the Titanic and uncovers the fascinating history behind its artefacts and get a chance to learn about those who travelled and worked onboard the legendary ship.

This exhibition includes full-scale re-creations of the ship’s interior so you can experience what life would have been like on the luxury passenger liner. This includes the iconic Grand Staircase.

We hope you enjoy going back in time and learning about one of the most famous ships in modern history.
