Little advise for you my friend.. keep on doing it like that first to get a certain amount of comfort then try to slowly start pushing yourself more vertical and up. it is easier.. atleast for me lol.. Nice job man You did good you were learning the backflip so fast you got over the fear petty fast! You pretty much turned your backwards cartwheel into a crappy back handspring then a backflip. Good progression! This is inspiring me to try as well!

I could do it from the side of a pool and on a trampoline but not on ground. I went to a trampoline park and learned how to do it on ground in one day. The same day I got home and landed it on grass. Now 3 days later Im too scared to throw it on grass again.
