Another Reason To Buy Snap On Over Cornwell

This is just one more reason to consider snap on over other brands. snap on drawers have latches that prevent this even if the ground is uneven.

Why do people mistreat their tools and boxes and then blame the manufacturer??? I have Husky toolboxes from Home Depot and they work great. I don’t overload them and I’m very organized. No issues and more money to spend on high end tools that actually make me money…

Cornwell sure is far ahead of the game, automatic drawers 😮 now that is impressive gents

Ive got a 5 drawer slide top Cornwell toolbox. I have had it since 2020 and its served me well. I dont have the drawers loaded up like your friends Cornwell box but it does the job for me. Ill probably get a box from Extreme Tools to go with it to store more tools inside.

Cornwell is made with heavier gauge steel than Snap-on. Your coworker just needs to adjust the latches. Wait til yours gets some age on it you'll be doing the same thing.

My snap tool cart is doing the same thing, the sides need to be replaced. Ive had my tool cart for 7 years now and snap on will wear out like cornwell too. But I do love my platinum series cornwell box and it doesn’t have those issues and I’ve had it for 3 years now and all the drawers weighted down very heavy

Ok I can show you a great example of a snap on box that does the same thing trust me your snap on ones wear out after 5-6 years

Matco drawers do that too.

I do believe so of the newer Cornwell boxes have a latch system though.

I want to like Cornwell, but my local truck rarely has what I need. Their quality also seems to be a tier bellow Snap on or Mac.

Detents may need to be replaced or you can bend the drawer slides slightly to make a tighter fit so the drawers stay closed.

Overloaded, wear, and depends on how level the concrete is. My coworker has a $20, 000 snap on epic series box and his hammer drawer does the same thing. He took the plastic latches off so he doesnt have to fight them opening it. His hammer drawer is the heaviest but it opens on its own all the time. I have a cornwell slide top and none of my drawers open, because i have the heaviest tools in the bottom drawer which has a 160lb capacity where the others have like 120lb capacity.

I have a nice Kirkland tool chest with latching drawers. The Snap On might be slightly better, but not enough for me to justify the premium price tag.

Beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder.
To me black & purple looks like a bruise.
To each his own.
What’s really fugley is a stainless steel box.
And my son ordered a cyber truck!
So I thought I’d just vent here a bit.
It ought to be easy to add some decals or a vinyl wrap. Since it has few curves.

Obviously a cheaper model of Cornwell. Mine has latches, electric lock, the whole nine yards..

I bought a cheap tool cart on Amazon with no latches. I glued a magnet to the inside of the cart and it keeps the drawer closed

Lift with a floor jack against a wall and add some washers to the front wheels.
